Maxime Hilaire is the founder and creative director of Gangsters Buy Flowers, a lifestyle brand that blends street sensibility with fashion & a general love of flowers. Originally from Boston, Massachusetts, Maxime sharpened his creative voice while living in New York City, where the energy of the arts and culture scene helped shape his vision. He launched the brand in 2017 after years of experience in retail and freelance photography, using those foundations to build something that resonates with those who understand the duality of man. A devoted fan of the arts, Maxime created Gangsters Buy Flowers as more than just a fashion label—it’s a community-driven movement rooted in storytelling, culture, and illustrating how the love & appreciation for flowers can be a part of everyday life.

Established in 1999 by the Boston Art Dealers Association (BADA),https://www.bostonart.com/ the Stephen D. Paine Scholarship is designed to support students who are entering their final year in studio art programs at colleges in the city of Boston. The scholarship is established in memory of Stephen D. Paine. Stephen was passionate about the visual arts and dedicated to supporting arts education through his involvement with numerous Boston-area institutions. Stephen was a friend and ally to artists, students and art professionals.
